Safety & Quality Assurance

Nathalin Group is dedicated to provide quality assured ship management. This is achieved through the implementation of an integrated and documented management structure both ashore and afloat. The system is based on the ClassNK SEP with respect to ship management and ISO 9001:2000 which we have obtained Certificates on November 07, 2002 by SGS UKAS, with respect to crew management. The system complies with the requirements of the IMO's ISM code.

Nathalin Group's code of operation emphasizes a policy of safety, quality management and environmental pollution prevention. It also sets out the means by which the safety, quality management and environmental pollution prevention policy will be achieved. Nathalin Group's code of operation has proven to be highly effective in the safe management of ships.

Ship Management

Nathalin Group has structured its Safety Management System under the International Safety Management Code (ISM Code) and was obtained Certification by Nippon Kaiji Kyokai, known as ClassNK since February 20, 1998. Based on the Safety Management System, shoreside staff and seafarers of the Ship Department adhere to safety of human life, safe navigation of ocean-going vessels and environmental observation at sea.

Risk Management

In the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the Appendix of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS 74) which aims to enhance safety of merchant ships has been amended and thus the International Ship & Port Facilities Security Code (ISPS Code) took effect on July 1, 2004.

We build up our security measures through making up the Ship Security Plan (SSP) based on the ISPS Code and achieving the International Ship Security Certificate (ISSC).

As mentioned above, Nathalin Group exercised emergency response drills through sea and land joint operations in consideration of every situation and has sorted out the structural setup which can instantaneously deal with unexpected serious accident or emergency circumstances.
